vermont

... FYI I got a job with Octagon Sports Marketing as the Event Coordinator for BMW's Mountain Driving Experience at Mount Snow in Vermont.

I live in a "town" with a population of about 900 people ... the closest McDonalds is an hour's drive - and the Wal-Mart is even further! Who doesn't have those 2 things right?!!

Quite a new experience to say the least ... I'm learning not to be upset that I got sent here. Other than that the job isn't too bad ... isn't too hot either but I am getting paid so it is much better than being a sub in DeWitt. I am here until sometime in April or until May 1 -- then who knows ... maybe a new placement at a golf course some where -- maybe a new job.

Until then --

FYI

I have officially been back in America now for 6 months and I still have yet to get a job. I live with my parents in Michigan and occasionally substitute at the area high schools. Life sucks .... just and FYI for those who read and care.

Long Time Hey?!

So yes, I have back in America for almost 2 months now...it has been interesting. I have NO friends in Michigan anymore so I don't do a thing. Let's just say it's been very, VERY boring. I have meaning to thank everyone who keep up with me by reading this thing so THANKS A BUNCH. I'm in the process of finding/getting a real life job. I went to New York City last weekend for an interview with Octagon sports marketing/management group and am awaiting an offer (?!) today...I will either be in Norwalk, CT or Fayetteville, AR if I get the J.O.B. -- we will just have to wait and see....then I suppose I will start this thing up again maybe.

Until then ...

WOW, I'm finally really done this time

I just got back from my last collegiate class ever...and it is kind of surreal. I mean, I have been in school from the age of about 3 so that makes tonight the culmination of 21 years of schooling. Am I smarter? Well, I would like to think so; I know my ABC's and times tables (although I still use my fingers to count...), I know general American and World history, I can write a research paper, an essay and a biography with ease; I know the muscles and bones of the human anatomy, I can take and read blood pressure; I could give you a physical fitness test and check your VO2; I know how the muscles operate and how many degrees are necessary for a baseball pitch or a quarterback pass. I can create and plan a strategic plan and business manual, a marketing report, lead a team, and motivate clientele. I can do way more too ... or least I "know" how; but what really have I learned? That's a tough question--when I was walking out into the torrential downpour after class tonight Sarah Evan's "Born to Fly" song was the first one that played on my ipod and it made sense. Read the lyrics and maybe it will all just make sense...

I've been telling my dreams to the scarecrow
About the places that I'd like to see
I say, "friend do you think I'll ever get there?"
Oh, but he just stands there smilin' back at me
So I confessed my sins to the preacher
About the love I've been prayin' to find
Is there a brown-eyed boy in my future, yeah [I'd prefer blue eyes ;0)]
And he says, "girl, you've got nothin' but time."

But how do you wait for heaven?
And who has that much time?
And how do you keep your feet on the ground
When you know that you were born,
You were born to fly

My daddy he is grounded like the oak tree
My momma she is steady as the sun
Oh, you know I love my folks
But I keep starin' down the road
Just lookin' for my one chance to run

Hey, cause I will soar away like a blackbird
I will blow in the wind like a seed
I will plant my heart in the garden of my dreams
And I will grow up where I wander wild and free

Oh, How do you wait for heaven?
And who has that much time?
And how do you keep your feet on the ground
When you know, that you were born?
You were born, yeah, you were born to fly

So how do you wait for heaven?
And who has that much time?
And how do you keep your feet on the ground
When you know, that you were born
You were born to fly, yeah

You were born to fly, fly, fly, fly, hey
Oh, oh

So I did get sick...

After much anticipation as to whether or not I was to get the flu yesterday I got something even worse; the most horrible migraine in the world yesterday. I was nausea and in heaps of pain so I had to go to emergency room at the hospital last night where after not keeping down the first set of medicine I was given morphine for my pain. Needless to say the pain went away until the morphine wore off 4 hours later and then I had a bitch of a time trying to sleep. Early this morning I went to the pharmacy and got the migraine and nausea medicine which has been helping plus I have been sleeping so I am doing much better. Needless to say anyone who gets migraines I feel your pain now and oh how much does it suck?!!

NOOOOOOOOOO

Ugh so all my roommates have come down with the flu and guess what I'm not feeling so hot. I thought I was fine this morning when I woke up so I finished my final paper revisions and wall-la I now feel sick. I thought no I just have a headache so I took a nap but no I feel nauseous now. It could be I think I am sick cause everyone else is -- so I ate an oranges and took some cold and flu medicine because that is the last thing I need to get before Tonga and HOME!!
