its going off !!

WoW!! The waves today out at Coogee were unreal! Coogee never gets more than a 2 1/2 dumping wave but today we had up to 14 foot barrels...and up the road in Bondi they had up to 20 ft (10 ft faces) out there. It is amazing -- I am listening to the waves crash right now at its 1030 at night. We went to surf camp this weekend -up north to Anna Bay, about a 3 1/2 hour drive north and there were some BIG waves up there but this is so UNREAL ... it's just goin OFF !! .....take a looksie below


 

I'm going to The KINGDOM OF TONGA

For of those of you I haven't told yet I AM GOING TO THE KINGDOM OF TONGA in June right before I come home!!! There will be 4 of us going and relaxing before I go home at least and celebrate my graduation and my roommates birthday. We fly out on the 8th and return the 15th then on the 17th I will be returning home for GOOD---YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY!!!! It should be a great time as the CIA website notes Tonga as the cleanest and friendliest island in the South Pacific. It is also whale mating season then so we should see some whales too ... Not to mention pristine marine life and secluded beaches. Check it out at www.royalsunset.to where we will be staying in a Western Fala....

Rooster's Game

Sunday was by far the hottest day in the past 3 weeks and I went to see the Sydney Rooster's Rugby League game vs the Melbourne Storm. They ended up losing 22 to 18 but I think I may have lost 2 lbs of water weight from all the sweat--it was so gross!! Afterwards we cooled off with an ocean swim....

Bear World Tour -- Sydney

On St. Patrick's day my roommate and I missed the bus to get us to The Rocks (Irish bar area) in time for celebrations so by the time we caught the next bus the bars were already closing down so instead we took a tour of the Ceramic Bear World Tour to hit Sydney. They are individually painted by an artist in the country represented. It was actually pretty cool! Myself and the Norway bear (above)

The COOLEST Experience

Get down to minus5º and surround yourself in tonnes of hand sculpted ice. Everything is made of ice. The walls, the bar, the sculptures, the seats and even the glasses that you enjoy our famous vodka based cocktails in.

My roommate Erin and I checked out Minus 5 on Friday night and it was pretty cool literally!! The ice is shipped in from Canadian and New Zealand Glaciers to make the walls and sculptures and ice glasses you drink from. You are only able to stay in the bar for a 1/2 an hour but that is plenty!! VERY COOL

sarah and i last weekend -- cartoon version

I started uni last week. Classes on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday nights from 5-7 pm again -- this session is going to be even more hard than last as I have a graduation project to work on and heaps of research too. I'm looking at 20-30 of just research for the project and papers a week! WOW!! I guess it will give me things to do then.

So I am loving the fact that I have a roomie that joined my gym as now I don't have to walk there alone! So good...and the roomies and I are looking to do a Thailand trip for a week. It is much cheaper to go from Australia and when else would I really have the chance to do it? But I don't have the money for it really so I am still looking for a J-O-B for a day or two a week to save some money for it. Only problem is that no one really wants me for only a day or two. I'm not going to be doing the promotions this semster really as I can not accept a job 3 hours before hand now that I don't live in the city and that after this week I have to dive into this research--whoo hoo NOT.

Oh and I am sick AGAIN--I guess it has been awhile but still it sucks! I went to the uni doctor last week but the medicine which was quite expensive (!) isn't doing much so I will give it another day or two and then I am going back for heavier drugs. I may look and be little but I have a massive drug toloerance!! Okay off to bed as I need my rest...
