Coogee

This is my favorite spot to go sit and watch the waves...

Let me tell you a little bit more about my house...
194 Beach Street
Coogee NSW 2034

if you want to mail me something ;0) ...

there are 5 of us living in a 3 bedroom one bathroom house--kinda sounds familiar. Two of the girls go to the University of Wisconsin (one being from Madison and the other from LA), one girl who goes to U of M from Ohio, and one from Cornell who splits her time between DC and Miami. They are actually really fun, nice girls. I was a bit worried living with 20-21 year olds again but it hasn't been too bad yet as I don't feel like a creepy old lady living in the single. We are getting our TV/DVD player on Tuesday which will be amazing as I hate missing the news and some of my fav shows. The internet is up and running---just running heaps slow in comparison to US standards, or my old apartment for that matter. The lease on this joint runs until the 5th of July but I am still planning on making it back home sometime in June -- hopefully around the 15th if I can get on a Qantas flight by then. That way I will have about a 1/2 month to get my resume updated and put in some time of job searching before I start interviewing in July and hopefully have something in August. I have no clue what I am going to do but I am planning on looking at the NFL, PGA, and unis and whoever gives me the most money in a good location will get all that it is LIL KIM. haha.

OHHH my brother is coming in April!!!! How exciting I can't wait to show him around my "home" and we are going to take a side trip up north to the Great Barrier Reef and go diving (snorkeling in his case...I may dive again) and sailing. We are going to go see the Blue Mountains and The Hunter Valley Wine Country while he is here too. It is going to be a JAM packed 10 days!! But it will be amazing and he will probably want to move here.

I received a letter from the US consulate office to see if I would be interested in applying for permanent residence. You pay to apply and you may or may not get it but as sweet as it would be to be a resident here I don't foresee myself coming back to live here until I am old and wanting to retire or run away from the US again. Truly Australia is such an Amazing, Wonderful country but my family is the most important thing to me and it is just too hard to be this far away form them for me. But I am not opposed to becoming an millionaire in the states and moving back here when im old and have wrinkles and skin cancer. I guess time will only tell ...

moved!

I am finally all moved in to my new location in Coogee--the house is AMAZING and my roommates are really good too. We have internet now just working out a few lil glitches but its working today! There are 5 of us in the house; I have my own room and the other 4 girls share 2 rooms. We have the most amazing view of the beach; only bad thing is the massive hill we climb to get up here. School starts again on Monday--looking forward to finishing up this degree and come back home to do who knows what!! I haven't worked since I came back in December so that is also a goal to find a new J-O-B ... in the mean time I have been having a lot of fun. The 2nd part of my year long escapade here has been much better due to the fact I know people now and its warm. Summer is ending up it stays warm here through April so that won't be a problem. My lease ends on this place the 5th of July so I will be home by then. I am actually looking to come back a bit earlier as I will have nothing to do here and it will be winter. Ill keep you posted--ENJOY MY VIEW!!
